Debate Announcement

I spoke at a church in Inver Grove Heights a few weeks back. In attendance was an evolutionary professor named Steve Johnson. After the presentation him and I talked about doing a debate this coming fall and today he called me to confirm it. The debate will be some time in September and the topic being discussed is intermediate forms of human evolution. I do not have the location picked out for the debate, but I will try to have it held in Mankato. Please check back for more details.

Bible Fact of the Month: Trinity in Genesis
The first chapter of Genesis is very clear cut in its presentation. A child can understand the basics of what God is saying. There is also a lot of interesting pieces of information the average reader may not pick up. This is evident for a lot of God’s word. At first glance a reader might think he/she knows everything there is about a passage but then after many times reading it, a new piece of information is revealed.

One example of this is the mention of the trinity in Genesis 1: 26. If you read closely you see that God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” God says let us (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) make man. This is one of the many passages that points to the trinity having always existed as one.

If one goes back and rereads Genesis 1 he/she will uncover the trinity working as one throughout the creation week. We see God speaking things into existence through His Word (Jesus Christ). God also allows His Spirit to move over the waters conveying the work of the Holy Spirit. The trinity always works as one and it is very foundational that God would include all three parts of the trinity in His creation week. This shows each part of the trinity is God and all existed before time, space, and matter. This single aspect of Christianity is one of many aspects that set it apart from all other faiths in the world.
